Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:  Supportsthe maximization of total hotel profit (gaming and cash) by Analyzing andinterpreting historical and forecasted hotel data to result in maximum hotelyield.

 

ESSENTIAL JOBFUNCTIONS:

·           Maintains roomrates and rate structures in the Hotel Management System under the guidance ofHotel management and the Planning & Analysis Manager

·           Coordinate withall areas of marketing and group sales to effectively deliver group, event, anddirect mail programs that do not displace revenue from the hotel and deliverhigh occupancy rates.

·           Review, act andreport on any current RM irregularities within LMS and RMS that may result inincreased optimal revenue capture.

·           Maintains andreports on weekend displacement analysis to capture future expected demand moreefficiently.

·           Responsible fordetermining historical demand and demand weight for events and promotions.

·           Maintains eventand promotions historical demand and Revenue DB

·           Monitors Salesgroups and updates rates.

·           Review groupblocks and ensure proper criteria is placed within each group master account,including but not limited to billing, inventory against contract.

·           Creates reportsanalysis based on RM data

·           Provides RMSsystems and analysis expertise to help internal customers including but notlimited to hotel, marketing, and sales.

·           Creates andmaintains all future and existing RM related excel files and models on aroutine basis and maintains them as read only for other departmentsutilization.

·           Creates andanalysis ad-hoc reports for property based on RM data.

·           Monitors DirectMail offers and performs cross-reference against settings within LMS and makesrecommendations to maximize profits.

·           Assists inmonitoring Marketing calendar for changes and ensuring RM goals are maintainedand optimized through efficient utilization of DM campaigns and Events

·           Supportsgeneration of departmental analytical information, presentations, and updates.

·           Creates accurateand timely reports from various systems.

·           Monitors Synxisreports and supports GDS system and extranet exposure.

·           Provides detailedanalysis of DM offers, retail, Internet booked, and advertised redemptionrates.

·           Maintains andupdates daily room and revenue reports

·           MaintainsMarketing Databases including but not limited to; Direct Mail, Business Source,Cash Revenue, Theo/Win, Discounts and Promotions, Third Party.

·           Manages Packagingand Promotional Bookings Pace and Revenue. Makes recommendations to maximizeprofits.

EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE:

·        Bachelor's degreefrom a top-tier program in one of the following areas or in an equivalenttechnical field preferred: Finance, Marketing, Engineering, Statistics,Mathematics, Revenue or Hotel Management, Business, Accounting.

·        Relevant workexperience in financial analysis, hospitality, marketing, operations analysis,or the gaming industry preferred but not required.

·        Experience with BItechnologies such as Power BI, MicroStrategy, or Tableau preferred.

·        Must be technicallyskilled and have experience using data analysis tools including Windows and MSOffice products.  Must be able to quicklylearn relevant industry database applications and software

·        Experience withHyperion Essbase and Microsoft Access preferred.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

·        Must be proficientin Excel with ability to train quickly in other software programs.

·        Excellent written,oral and presentation skills.

·        Must have goodunderstanding of the general makeup of financial statements; familiarity withgeneral financial principles.

·        Must have theability to communicate complex ideas to co-workers and internal clients; strongwriting and communication skills

·        Must be able tomanage numerous projects simultaneously at various stages of development
