ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Adheres to departmental and company rules, regulations and policies.
  • Assist with the training of new team members.
  • Acknowledges and responds to customers immediately.
  • Is able to answer questions about Harrah’s Ak-Chin Resort facilities and services.
  • Outstanding example and a credit to Harrah’s Ak-Chin Resort Entertainment, Inc.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with Harrah’s guidelines.
  • Answers incoming calls from both guests and internal departments with a warm friendly greeting
  • Files invoices and other financial paperwork.
  • Must be able to complete work assignments with no direct supervision.
  • Prepares work orders in the property work order tracking software (HOTSOS) and ensures completion.
  • Monitor and track cleaning of department supplies and various linen including pool towels, mop heads, cleaning towels, welcome mats and lounge covers.
  • Ensures the proper check out check in of department radios, keys and assets.
  • Processes work orders for department tools and equipment in need of preventative maintenance or repair.
  • Maintain an accurate record of all received and dispatched call logs.
  • Dispatch guest requests to EVS personnel.
  • Perform daily property inspections

ADDITIONAL JOB DUTIES:

  • Adheres to the tasks under the EVS Lead Duties.
  • Conducts daily Buzz sessions.
  • Communicates pertinent information to EVS Team Members
  • Assists and directs EVS Team Members in the performance of their duties
  • Assign projects when necessary
  • Report any employee or guest issues that require coaching to the EVS Supervisor
  • Assists in administrative duties such as shift reports, daily inspections, and scheduling.
  • Assists in maintaining necessary inventories of EVS products and equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by EVS Supervisor
  • May be required to perform the duties of cleaning specialist and Heavy Duty Cleaner.
  • Answers questions about Harrah’s Ak-Chin Resort facilities and services.
  • Responsible for disposition of assets.
  • Ensures the SDS is up-to-date and compliant
  • Orders supplies for Environmental Services and meet with department supervisors weekly to ensure the most financially responsible decisions are upheld for the department
  • Responsible for planning, supervising, and monitoring the work of the team members in assigned area(s).
  • Maintains and controls department inventory, i.e., paper goods, chemicals, equipment
  • Conducts tours of all work areas and public areas, identifying and correcting any deficiencies

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Previous experience in the field of Housekeeping or Environmental Services preferred
  • Six months to one year cleaning experience preferred

  • Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the casino including up and down stairs and reach above shoulder level.
  • Must be able to stand, stoop, twist, reach, kneel, grip and bend in the execution of normal duties.
  • Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
  • Must be able to push, pull and lift weight up to 75 pounds (proper training techniques for lifting will be provided).
  • Must be able to see small objects in poorly lit area.
  • Must possess coordination and dexterity to work with hand and power equipment.
  • Able to tolerate cleaning chemicals without developing and allergic reaction.
  • Ability to climb ladders
  • Use a lift that extends higher than 4 stories from the ground such as boom and scissor lift.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for the entire shift.
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
  • Must be able to work with and tolerate areas containing varying noise and temperature levels, illumination, vibration, crowds, and areas with second hand smoke
  • Must be able to work at a fast pace, efficiently.
  • Must be able to respond to visual, olfactory, and aural cues.
  • Must be able to operate in mentally and physically stressful situations
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings and holidays
