Count Room Staff-Count Room-Part Time (Harrah's Ak-Chin Casino)

JOB SUMMARY: Performs the duties of the Drop Team.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Transfers carts to and from the vault, cage, change banks and poker room.

• Performs the daily Bill Validator drop process.

• Assists Soft Count with Bill Validator opening and soft count processes.

• Performs minor repairs and maintenance of count room equipment.

• Notifies Count Room Supervisor of malfunctioning equipment. Performs other duties as assigned.

• Always presenting oneself as a credit to Harrah’s and encourages others to do the same.

• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.

• Performs other duties as directed by Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications:

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma preferred. Must be able to read, write,speak and understand English. Basic mechanical (repair) skills helpful. Prior cash handling experience (casino or bank) is preferred. Must be able to work all shifts. Must be able to get along with co-workers and work as a team. Must present a well-groomed appearance..

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:

Must be able to maneuver in and around all count rooms. Must be able to push and pull carts and carry up to 75 lbs. of boxes filled with currency or chips. Must be able to stand for extended (6 to 12 hours) of time. Must be able to respond calmly in crisis and stressful situations. Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke. Must be able to bend, stoop,reach, kneel, twist and grip items as necessary, Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
